Fall 2026: Taking It Live, Into Our Communities

Helping players reach college, with real college scholarships, has been part of HTX's DNA since the College Center was created in 2006. In that time, the club has placed 830 players at top colleges all over the country. This fall, HTX carried that legacy forward with 10 live College Center presentations, reaching more than 1,000 players, coaches, and family members. Instead of asking families to come to us, we went to them.

From Sept. 8 through Oct. 12, we served players and families across every community the club serves in the Greater Houston area. The sessions brought together boys and girls from within the U13–U18 program.

What Is the College Center Program?

The College Center Program is a member benefit designed to explain in detail the college recruiting process. It gives our players and families the knowledge, tools, and support to find scholarship opportunities and take ownership of their path to the next level. The program helps families understand when to start the recruiting conversation, how to communicate with college coaches, build and share a strong player profile, and find the right academic, athletic, and personal fit. Our coaching staff also has access to each player's SportsRecruits profile, so they can provide expert guidance behind the scenes. Families can use the program to pursue academic and athletic opportunities together, or to focus on academics alone.

Free for Every U13–U18 Player

SportsRecruits is provided free of charge to all U13 through U18 players in the club. With SportsRecruits, players can build a recruiting profile, upload highlight video, share their game and tournament schedules, research college programs, and message college coaches directly, all in one place.

“The College Center has become one of the defining strengths of our club,” said Simon Boddison, College Center Director. “Year in and year out, we see our players earn opportunities to play and study at outstanding colleges across the country, and those results speak to the hard work of our players, families, and coaches. We’re proud that HTX continues to be the #1 youth soccer club in Houston for placing players in college. Even more exciting is watching these players grow in college, earn their degrees, and go on to become successful people in life. That’s what makes it all worthwhile.”
