Connections Ministry Director

Summary: Executes the mission and vision of The Woodlands Methodist Church (TWMC) by creating church-wide programs and processes to ensure that attenders are welcomed effectively and provided a clear path to membership. Following membership, the Connections Director will effectively assist members become connected and engaged with the church and our mission of reaching people for Jesus Christ, discipling them in faith, and helping others.

Essential Functions:

• Implement the Planned Visit initiative on all campuses.
• Create, develop, and collaborate with a team of highly involved members to create and implement a communication follow-up process to connect with visitors requesting information; and to new members offering consistent support for connection.
• Create and execute the Membership Journey initiative on all campuses.
• Cast vision and direction for on-boarding experiences of new members on all campuses.

• Lead, equip, and empower Connection Point and Planned Visit Volunteers providing high-impact first impressions.
• Remove roadblocks from a newcomer’s experience in all worship venues.
• Ensure that the information area, signage, and key areas are clear, current, and focused on visitors and unengaged members.
• Ensure that the guest services team answers questions and provides remarkable customer service on a consistent basis.
• Plan and execute membership weekends, luncheons, and other events aimed at both welcoming new members and connecting existing members.
• Maximize the usage of our Rock database including initial connections request for serve teams, new member input for all campuses, regular membership updates, and management of reports and data for accuracy.

Physical Demands

• This position requires sitting, standing, lifting, reaching, and crawling.

• Reports to: Pastor of Discipleship

• Position Type: Full-time
• Schedule: As is typical for a ministry, this position requires a flexible schedule. The successful candidate may be asked to work Sunday mornings and church holidays (Christmas Eve, Easter, etc.).
• Compensation: Dependent on experience
