Position Description:

Function as a Program Coordinator, providing support to both Family Services and Senior Services Teams. Function as Intake Specialist for families and individuals applying for assistance through Interfaith Crisis Assistance Programs.  Provide support for Senior Services Programs, including but not limited to Congregate Meals, Senior Activities, and Senior Grocery Delivery. Provide support for all Family Services and Senior Services Programs as needed.

Primary duties

Interview, evaluate, and document needs of families and individuals applying for assistance through Interfaith Crisis Assistance Programs
Screen clients for needs and eligibility
Schedule appointments and make appropriate social services referrals
Data entry into program database
Assist Program Coordinator with execution of Congregate Meals Program as needed, specifically enrollments of clients.
Assist Program Coordinator with execution of Senior Grocery Delivery Program as needed
Provide special events support to all Family Services and Senior Services programs
Assist in Interfaith disaster recovery efforts
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  Preferred:

Bachelor degree and 2 years social services/nonprofit experience
Bilingual with Spanish fluency
Experience working with and leading a diverse group of people to achieve a common goal
Live within 15 miles of 77381 area
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Strong organizational, customer service and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks
Computer proficient
Must be able to drive a box truck

$21-$23/hr based on experience
