Local Church Gathering Gift-Filled Shoe Boxes for Hurting Children Overseas

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Christmas is arriving early all over Northwest Houston, as local businesses, churches and homes prepare to serve as collection points for Operation Christmas Child. Soon, with the help of local volunteers, the sites will be brimming with festively wrapped shoe boxes full of gifts.

Through Operation Christmas Child, the world’s largest Christmas project, area residents are packing shoe box gifts for children in more than 100 countries suffering from natural disaster, war, terrorism, disease, famine and poverty.

Faith Bible Church, located at 5505 Research Forest Dr., is serving as one of the local collection sites from Nov. 16-23. Faith Bible Church will be taking donations at the following times:

Nov. 16-20 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Nov. 21: 9 a.m. – Noon
Nov. 22: Noon – 4 p.m.
Nov. 23: 9 a.m. – Noon
