THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- For the fifteenth year the youth, staff and congregation of Christ Church United Methodist will be offering a Live Nativity for the community to enjoy on Christmas Eve.

"The Live Nativity demonstrates the simplicity of the first Christmas along with the chaos that may have occurred then" says Leanne Donaldson, Director of Student Ministries at Christ Church. "The re-telling of Christ's birth though the Live Nnativity captures a very holy moment in a very unholy setting. What a humble way that our God chose to enter our world and be among us" says Donaldson.

The Live Nativity at Christ Church is a very interactive way to experience the Christmas story. While guests are welcome to drive by to see the Nativity, they are encouraged to park and walk up and into the Nativity to really experience it. Guests can talk to the characters and touch the animals. In addition to Mary and Joseph, the Wisemen, the Shepherds, the Angels and Baby Jesus, guests will enjoy the camel, sheep, goats and donkeys as you walk among them in the stable.

The Christ Church United Methodist Live Nativity is a free event for our community to enjoy. This one-night event is held on Christmas Eve from 4 p.m. - 11 p.m. on the campus of Christ Church United Methodist, accessible at Research Forest and Millennium Forest next door to The Woodlands High School. Last year, the Live Nativity welcomed nearly 2,000 visitors. Don't pass up on this opportunity to experience the true meaning of Christmas, the birth of Jesus and the Christian celebration.
