THE WOODLANDS, Texas - This past Mother’s Day, The Breast Cancer Charities of America teamed up with Trina Turk, a boutique in Los Angeles, California, to raise funds through shared profits from the day.

The event was hosted by Jillian Barberie Reynolds, celebrity host of “Good Day LA.” Among many in attendance were Trina Turk, owner and designer of Trina Turk, and Heather McDonald, comedian, actress and writer for Chelsea Lately.

“I could not have been more thrilled about teaming up with The Breast Cancer Charities of America,” says Turk. “Between raising awareness, funds and beautiful fashion, the event was perfect.”

On the day of the event, Trina Turk raised nearly $1,500 for The Breast Cancer Charities of America campaign.

“I only hope that more women benefit from the awareness that is being spread by The Breast Cancer Charities of America,” adds Turk. “More breast cancer survivors means a more fashion-forward and beautiful future for us all.”

The day of fashion was a great success as women went home with beautiful pieces from Trina Turk and cookies and a rose to boot. But most importantly, this fashion-forward effort brought forth funds to aid research for non-invasive breast cancer treatments such as exercise and diet regiments.
