May 4 Joint Election Results for Montgomery County

THE WOODLANDS, TX – With 100 percent of the precincts reporting in, 17,746 of 435,228 voters – just over four percent – registered in Montgomery County cast their ballots for the May 4 joint election. Here are the results for key races and issues in the election:

• MCAD District Board of Directors, Place 1 – Gary W. Beck with 71.12% of the vote
• MCAD District Board of Directors, Place 2 – Pete Palmer with 61.18% of the vote
• MCAD District Board of Directors, Place 3 – Webb Melder who ran unopposed
• Montgomery ISD Trustee, Position 4 – Paul E. Cameron IV with 50.55% of the vote (recount possible)
• Montgomery ISD Trustee, Position 5 – Elizabeth Ivey who ran unopposed
• City of Conroe Mayor – runoff election expected due to Todd Yancey with 47.80% and Duke W. Coon with 45.95% of the vote
• City of Conroe Council, Place 1 – runoff election expected due to David Hairel with 41.39% and Susan Johnson with 46.05% of the vote
• City of Conroe Council, Place 2 – runoff election expected due to Shana Arthur with 41.35% and Curt Maddux with 47.43% of the vote
• City of Magnolia Mayor – Matthew ‘Doc’ Dantzer with 54.63% of the vote
• City of Magnolia Council Position 4 – Brandon Jacobs who ran unopposed
• City of Magnolia Council Position 5 – Jack L. Huitt Jr. who ran unopposed
• City of Oak Ridge North Mayor – Paul Bond who won with 90.68% of the vote
• City of Oak Ridge North Council Member, Place 1 – Rick Moffatt who ran unopposed
• City of Oak Ridge North Council Member, Place 3 – Alex Jones who ran unopposed
• EMCID Directors Position No. 1 – Brenda Webb with 98.43% of the vote
• EMCID Directors Position No. 2 – Fred Wetz with 97.37% of the vote
• EMCID Directors Position No. 3 – Ronald Willingham with 98.67% of the vote

Additionally, all MUD propositions passed with 100 percent of the vote, with the exceptions of MUD 238 Propositions F, G, and H, which all tied with 50 percent of the vote.
