THE WOODLANDS, Texas - The music ministry team at Christ Church United Methodist is presenting a holiday worship extravaganza entitled Touch of Heaven, on Sunday, December 12, 2010 for 8:30, 9:45 and 11 a.m. worship services. Touch of Heaven is a multi-sensory musical worship experience. The service will feature new and traditional Christmas music performed by the dynamic music ministry of Christ Church United Methodist, a brass quintet, the Praise Band, and Jim Connors on the pipe organ. The concert will also feature the choreographic talents of Traci Carpenter and the Abbotts Dance Studio dancers. The service will offer a variety of musical styles to include classical organ, orchestra, a praise band, choirs and bridge musical genres such as jazz, classical, synthesized orchestra and contemporary.

"We are excited to join our congregation in a huge worship event at the beginning of the Advent season to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ," says Derek McNatt, Minister of Music.

Dr. Hannon invites you all to a very unique event, the only one of its kind in our community, that seeks to present such a positive message of faith and hope through musical theater. "This service is a fantastic way of experiencing the entrance of Our Lord into this world through the Birth of Jesus. It is a musical drama that proclaims the gospel in a full array of sight and sound." It is Dr. Hannon's personal message saying "you will be lifted and will experience the true Joy of Christmas and it is my invitation for all if the community to join us in this unique and inspirational service".
