MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas -- The Montgomery County Hispanic Chamber is hosting a fundraiser on Thursday, November 3 that is sure to pack a punch with the community. With local brand names like The Woodlands Township Chairman Bruce Tough and Shenandoah Mayor Garry Watts facing off center ring and Montgomery County Tax Assessor J. R. Moore, Jr. as the Special Guest Ring Enforcer, one can only imagine the full entertainment value of the Fight For A Cause benefit.

The MCHC fundraiser that features celebrity boxers claims to be "fighting to make a difference in our community" and will benefit the Hispanic Chamber, as well as a host of other nonprofit agencies in Montgomery County. Truly the group is seeking to make a difference in the lives of those in Montgomery County.

"The community has really turned out to make this event an incredible evening highlighting hardworking nonprofit agencies that need our support," Miguel Lopez said, Chair for the Montgomery County Hispanic Chamber. "Though the fights are 'entertainment value', all the boxers have been working hard to put on a good demonstration of talent."

Boxers for the evening are all movers and shakers in the community: Trey "The Warrior" Halberdier vs. Terry "The Terminator" McBurney; Jack "The Rajin Cajun" Stibbs vs. Michael "The Grim Reaper" Valdez; Patty "Code Red" Coppola vs. Michelle "Bling Bling" O'Rourke; Mayor Garry "The Real Deal" Watts vs. Bruce "Captain America" Tough; and Miguel "The Mad Mex" Lopez vs. Skeeter "The Torque Wrench" Hubert.

Celebrity Judges for the evening will be Montgomery County Judge Alan Sadler, Montgomery County Sheriff Tommy Gage, CEO Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital Steve Sanders, Milstead Automotive President Amy Milstead, Stacy Harris Images Owner Stacy Harris and CEO South Montgomery County EDP Gil Staley. Along with the list of Celebrity Judges, State Representative Rob Eissler will be the evening's Special Guest Ring Announcer.

"We thought the idea was novel and something that folks would like to support," Bruce Tough said. "This isn't your ordinary, everyday type of fundraiser and we know this event will be able to draw attention to important charitable organizations in our County."

Each boxer will fight for a specific charity and for each match an agency will either receive $750 if their boxer wins or $250 if their boxer looses. All charities will receive donations.

"I am fighting for the Shenandoah Civic Club Scholarship Fund," Mayor Garry Watts said. "They are a great organization who will benefit from the donation that night but also the visibility that comes with such an interesting and fun fundraiser."

The event will be held Nov. 3, from 6-9 p.m., and is being sponsored by Casa Ricos, hosted by Legends Sports Complex and is presented in association with P4P MMA and Antonio "King Kong" Flores. Other sponsors include LJF, High Point Financial, BKP, One 30 Fitness, energy Lab, Villa Sport and Donna Wick Marketing, Media & Public Relations. Legends Sports Complex is located at 602 Pruitt Road in Spring.
