OAK RIDGE NORTH, Texas -- Oak Ridge North announces upcoming community events for fall.

Veteran’s Day Event in Marilyn Edgar Park to rededicate a plaque honoring all branches of our military. Sunday, November 10, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. All veterans and military service families are invited to attend.

Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony: Sunday, December 1, 2013, 6:00 p.m., I-45 and Robinson Road (by the AT&T building). Start your season in spectacular style with the lighting of the largest live Christmas Tree in Montgomery County!

**CANCELLED**Hometown Christmas Parade: Saturday, December 7, 2013, participant line up at 9:00 a.m. with parade kick-off at 9:30 a.m. Parade route travels south on Harlan to Maplewood to Hillside, ending in Marilyn Edgar Park. Festive floats, music, and SANTA are the highlights of the Oak Ridge North Annual Hometown Christmas Parade. Bring a goodie bag to collect candy tossed from the floats!

**CANCELLED**Santa in the Park: Saturday, December 7, 2013, immediately following the parade In Marilyn Edgar Park, 26531 Hillside Dr., Oak Ridge North. Bounce houses, yummy seasonal goodies, trackless train, face painting, and more! The highlight is the opportunity to tell Santa what you really want for Christmas this year!

Light Up the Night: Judging takes place on December 10-12, 2013 throughout the City of Oak Ridge North. Signs will be placed in award winning yards by December 14th. A route map will be available of the winning addresses at www.oakridgenorth.com.

Community Hayride: The evening of Thursday, December 19, 2013 will see the revival of an Oak Ridge North tradition as a hayride will take guests on a tour of the lights in Oak Ridge North. Caroling, cookies and hot cocoa will round out an evening of fun. Full details on time & pick-up locations at the Oak Ridge North website.
