Ellis & Ellis acquired by United Capital Financial Advisors

THE WOODLANDS, Texas — Byron W. Ellis, founder of Ellis & Ellis, LLC, an advisory firm based in The Woodlands, Texas, has announced his firm has recently been acquired by United Capital Financial Advisors, LLC. Under the partnership, Ellis & Ellis is now a division of United Capital, creating the national investment advisory company’s 50th office nationwide and first in the Greater Houston Area.

Ellis & Ellis was founded in 1989 and has more than $500 million in assets under management for more than 700 households. Formerly affiliated with Ameriprise Financial, Ellis joins United Capital as a managing director. Ellis brings along with him a staff of 10 professionals who have responsibilities as wealth advisers, assistant wealth advisers, paraplanners and those in administrative services. The team of wealth advisors also includes Kiernan A. O’Connor, CPRC, CGPA, CLA, Ron Folwell, CFP, and Stephen Bauer, CFP, CRPC.
