UPDATE: I-45N reopened both north and south directions

The Grand Parkway construction over I-45 in Spring has been completed, and all lanes north and south, have been reopened.



ORIGINAL STORY:

SPRING, Texas - Construction is rapidly progressing for Segments F-1, F-2 and G of the Grand Parkway. Zachry- Odebrecht crews are continuing work at the major intersections of the 38 mile long project. Segment F- 1 crews will be installing concrete railing at the US 290 and Grand Parkway interchange requiring a total closure of the US 290 eastbound mainlanes from Roberts Road to Mason Road, daily from 7 am to 5 pm on Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, July 26. The traveling public will be detoured onto the frontage road.

Segment G crews will be working on multiple operations including pavement expansion and drainage work along I-45 North. To safely perform the work, Zachry-Odebrecht will implement total closures on I- 45 northbound mainlanes from FM 2920 to SH 99 and southbound mainlanes from Rayford Road to FM 2920, continuously from 8 pm Friday, July 24 to 6 am Monday, July 27. Motorists will be detoured onto the frontage roads.

In addition, crews will also be performing structure operations along US 59/I-69. To allow for the completion of work necessary, there will be total closures of US-59/I-69 northbound mainlanes and frontage road from FM 1314 to Community Drive and southbound mainlanes from FM 1485 to SH 99, continuously from 8 pm Friday, July 24 to 7 am Sunday, July 26. Northbound traffic will be detoured onto Loop 494 while southbound traffic will be detoured onto the US 59/I-69 frontage road.
