THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Operation Pets Alive!, a local organization that promotes animal welfare throughout the area, is hosting its 2015 Furry Friends Fall Festival this Saturday, November 28 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Northshore Park, 2505 Lake Woodlands Drive in The Woodlands.

Whether you have two legs or four, there will be fun galore

The event is open to all dogs and their human families, and includes attractions such as bubble soccer, sack races, face painting, a dog photo booth and volleyball. For refreshments there will be pizza, soda, hot chocolate and a food truck from Cousins Maine Lobster, which was featured on Shark Tank. Door prize and raffle items include Rockets vs. Spurs tickets, a Christmas nutcracker centerpiece, gift cards, artwork and more. Admission to the festival is free, with tickets for games starting at $1 apiece.

Operation Pets Alive! is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization striving to elevate Montgomery County to a “no-kill” community through innovative programs that raise community awareness, reduce the number of dogs and cats that enter local shelters, and increase the number of dogs and cats that leave shelters alive. The goal of the organization is to make a significant contribution to reduced killing in shelters through treatment of treatable animals, training, adoption, foster and rescue, and to make a significant contribution toward decreasing the number of pets entering shelters through spay and neuter, reclaim, retention and re-homing.
