It’s Mahjong Rodeo’s first birthday and they want to celebrate a fantastic year, Mahjong Style! You’re invited to join in an evening of American Mahjong at Porta’Vino in The Woodlands from 6 - 9 p.m. They’ll have the entire restaurant to themselves and want to pack it with wonderful people, great conversation, and mahjong at every table. A delicious spread will be provided by Porta’Vino. Important Note: This event is for players who already know how to play American Mahjong. No lessons will be given — don’t forget your NMJL cards!

Fashion for Freedom raises awareness about human trafficking and supports survivors through aftercare, education, and empowerment. By attending, you’ll be part of something bigger: standing with survivors and helping create lasting change. The runway will be graced by community leaders and Survivors of Human Trafficking, modeling hope and healing with every step.

It’s Family Night with an Autumn Harvest Cutout tonight at Painting with a Twist. Ages 10 and up (with a painting adult) are welcome at this class. Try something new and create your own candle before the class! If you have a child painting and you are not, you may sit with your child if seating permits. They encourage you to allow your children to discover their own creativity and not help them to ‘correct’ their painting. Applaud their effort and encourage their journey; let creativity flow, encourage independence!

These young people are determined to rebuild their lives, but often lack basic resources, such as appropriate clothing for job interviews and employment opportunities. Items needed for Angel Reach's Success Closet include men’s clothing and accessories, and ladies businesswear. The organization’s Success Closet also is building out an empowerment library. Books related to positive mindset, financial literacy, or even trades such as real estate books and how-to guides are very much appreciated.
