The Woodlands United Methodist Church to feature guest speaker about alcohol and drug addiction

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- What can drunks and drug addicts teach the church?

This will soon be up for discussion at The Woodlands United Methodist Church.

Sean Gladding, author of "The Story of God, The Story of Us," will speak Oct. 30 on what the church can learn from the wisdom of a 12-step lifestyle.

Gladding is the former pastor of Mercy Street, a Houston community of people who struggle with faith and/or addiction.

His message is one of hope: The 12-step lifestyle not only helps recovering addicts -- it can help churches see the problem and solutions in a new light.
