Ashley Byers promoted to manager of marketing and outreach by the Woodlands Area EDP

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The Woodlands Area Economic Development Partnership (EDP) announces the promotion of Ashley Byers to Manager of Marketing and Outreach.

Ashley has been with the organization for over six years and manages all aspects of the marketing department to include creating the company's marketing campaign on a local to international level, graphic design, ad placement, contract negotiations, website content and social media campaigns. Ashley also plans and executes quality special events for the Partners, as well as provides executive support to the CEO, Gil Staley, with various high-profile projects.

She has received certificates in Economic Development Marketing & Attraction by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) and Basic Economic Development by the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service. Currently she is earning her Associate of Arts degree from Lone Star College - Montgomery. In a former career, Ashley completed over 60 hours of classroom training and 800 clinical hours to earn her certification for dental assistant, including x-ray certification from the U.S. Army 222nd Base Support Battalion Dental Clinic located in Baumholder, Germany. Ashley contributes the training she received through the military to equip her with the tools to be an effective communicator and with leadership skills to build lasting relationships.

Ashley is a 2015 graduate of Leadership Montgomery County, currently serves on the Board of Directors for Interfaith of The Woodlands Young Professionals as the Board Secretary and is an advocate for The Woodlands Chapter of Ainsley’s Angels, which gives individuals with special needs an opportunity to experience endurance sports. Ashley is a two-time IRONMAN Texas finisher and has completed several ultra-marathons to include a 50-mile distance trail run.
