THE WOODLANDS, Texas – With 2019 off to a busy start, this week is no exception. There are a wide variety of events taking place in The Woodlands.

On Monday, January 14, gather the family and head down to Space Cadets Collection Collection for some Pokemon gaming! Every skill level is welcome, from beginners to the seasoned Pokemon Trainer. This is a free event and is open to all (yes, mom and dads too). Event listing.

On Tuesday, January 15, The Woodlands Township invites you to put on your best dancing shoes and head over to the Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park for a night of fun and dancing with the Jem Dandy Band. This adults only, aged 50 and older, dance party is sure to make memories. The dance is from 6:30pm to 9:00pm and costs $7 at the door. As with all Township programs, a wavier is required to participate and light refreshments will be served. Event listing.

Oh yes, it's back! The Taste of the Town returns to The Woodlands Waterway Marriott on Thursday, January 17. In it's 33rd year, The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce welcomes all culinary professionals and food junkies to sample delicious foods from over 40 area restaurants. No matter your taste, you'll find something you'll love here. For one low price, you can sample a variety of appetizers, entrees, deserts and beverages, including Italian, Mexican, BBQ, seafood and so much more. On Friday, January 18, bring the children out to The Woodlands Children's Museum for their all new exhibit, “Adventures with Clifford the Big Red Dog.” This timeless classic will introduce children to this lovable Big Red Dog and allow for the parents to take a trip down Memory Lane. Help sort, mail and deliver letters and pictures from Birdwell Island Post Office. Visit Samuel's Fish & Chips Shack, T-Bone's Beach and Cleo's Backyard. Sit next to Emily Elizabeth in Clifford's Dog House. There's so much to do! Admission to the museum and exhibit is $7 per person, age 1+. The exhibit will be open 10:00am to 5:00pm, Tuesday – Saturday and 12:00pm to 5:00pm on Sunday. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. This exhibit runs until May 12. Event listing.
