Tickets now on sale for 9th Annual YMCA Dancing with The Woodlands Stars, scheduled for April 26

THE WOODLANDS, TX – For the ninth time in as many years, local celebrities and community icons are strapping on their dancing shoes and preparing for a charitable ballroom extravaganza benefiting The Woodlands Family YMCA. Dancing for a CAUSE with The Woodlands Stars is a spin-off of the popular TV show, Dancing with the Stars. Tickets for this fabulous hoofing event are now on sale.

This unique charity event is scheduled for 6 p.m. on April 26 at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott and features local leaders as the live dance entertainment. The memorable evening includes a buffet dinner, cash bar, live and silent auction, photo booth, dancing and much more. Fred Astaire Dance Studio in The Woodlands has partnered with the YMCA to provide the dance partners, lessons, and choreography for the community stars.

Each star and their professional dance partner will light up the dance floor and perform their dance live, compete for votes and raise funds for The Woodlands Family YMCA. Every dollar raised from the purchase of tables, seats, auction items and votes goes to the YMCA Annual BE THE CHANGE campaign, which provides community-strengthening Y programs like water safety education, after school enrichment, teen leadership, youth sports, and outreach. Also, the Y provides supportive services available to everyone regardless of age, income or background. The YMCA is committed to empowering youth, building healthier families and inclusive communities.
