Temporary Lockout Lifted at Powell Elementary after Suspicious Person Found on Campus

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Parents whose children attend Powell Elementary School received the following notification earlier today, in regards to a suspicious person on campus:

"Due to a suspicious person on school property, Powell Elementary is on lockout. Students and staff are inside the building with doors locked. Updates to follow."

A short time later, the following message was received:

"UPDATE: Powell lockout lifted. There was a domestic issue involving an employee and an individual who is no longer on school property. Dismissal will take place as planned with officers from CISD Police, Montgomery County Sheriff's Office and Precinct 3 Constable's office on campus and patrolling the area."
