THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Montgomery County Women’s Council of Organizations (MCWCO) board of directors
hosts its annual Women of Distinction luncheon this Friday to honor designated, extraordinary volunteers in the community. In its 29th year, the luncheon is expected to have at least 400 attendees and a memorable presentation, including a special guest speaker, Gigi Woodruff.

Gigi Woodruff serves as Senior Leadership Development Manager of the YMCA of the USA as well as is the owner of Gigi Woodruff & Associates. Woodruff is recognized for her ability to engage an audience in dialogue and collaborative learning. Currently serving as the Senior Leadership Development Manager for the Talent and Knowledge Management Department at the YMCA of the USA, Gigi focuses her attention on developing executive and volunteer development initiatives that advance a leader’s competence and confidence as they navigate the growing complexity and uncertainty of today’s business environment.

During the program, media and attendees will learn about what the MCWCO’s mission is and the history behind its 29 years of involvement in Montgomery County.

The Women of Distinction luncheon was formed in 1990 to bring light to the volunteer community. Local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations operating in Montgomery County can become a member of MCWCO.
