THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital joins a premier group of organizations that has received Pathway to Excellence® designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

The Pathway designation is a global credential that highlights Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital’s commitment to creating a healthy work environment where nurses feel empowered and valued. Houston Methodist The Woodlands’ nurses are an integral part of the healthcare team, with a voice in policy and practice. Pathway nurses are engaged, resulting in higher job satisfaction, reduced turnover, improved safety and better patient outcomes.

As a Pathway organization, Houston Methodist The Woodlands leads the effort to enhance quality of care, patient and nursing safety and the future of healthcare delivery.

“We had a clear vision of what it would take to achieve this goal and I could not be more proud to see this important step become a reality within just two years of opening our doors,” said Dr. Kerrie Guerrero, VP and Chief Nursing Officer at Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital. “This designation not only recognizes the amazing culture that our nursing team has helped create, but the collaboration, leadership and ability to make a difference as we continue to deliver an unparalleled health care experience.”

“We hold this designation in high regard, as it reinforces our purpose of building a legacy of nursing excellence,” said Debbie Sukin, regional senior VP of Houston Methodist and CEO of Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital.
