The Woodlands Lions Club Announces the 32nd Wildflower Festival at Rob Fleming Park

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The Woodlands Lions Club is celebrating The Woodlands Wildflower Festival, a popular tradition 32nd anniversary in the community. The Woodlands Lions Club is hosting the Woodlands Wildflower Festival on November 9th from 10am-2pm at Rob Fleming Park in the Village of Creekside Park in The Woodlands. The Woodlands Township and The Howard Hughes Corporation (NYSE: HHC), developer of The Woodlands, are Presenting Sponsors. Buckalew Chevrolet is a Tote Bag Sponsor. “Thanks to the support we receive from the community and Sponsors, the The Woodlands Lions Club has the means to conduct our mission,” said Chris Hanson, president of the The Woodlands Lions Club. All proceeds from this event will go towards our Vision Program. This free, family-oriented event features thousands of wildflower seed packets in many different varieties that are distributed free to the community by generous seed sponsors; exhibits related to gardening and native plants; inflatable rides, entertainment and music. Lovable mascot of The Woodlands, Puffy Pine Cone, will make a special guest appearances from 11am to 12 noon at the festival. The Woodlands Lions Club meets on the second and fourth Thursday of each month at Noon at Carrabba’s Italian Grill. In addition to humanitarian projects, the club also serves the Texas Lions Camp for children with physical disabilities, Down syndrome and Type 1 Diabetes; provides local high school scholarships; youth eye exams and prescriptions eyewear and collects thousands of pairs of recyclable eyeglasses. The Woodlands Lions Club is made up of community service-minded men and women who work together to identify and address the needs in their area.
