THE WOODLANDS, TX -- For The Woodlands, Friday night’s game vs Conroe is their biggest since Cy-Fair in Week 1. For Conroe, Friday’s game is the biggest they’ve had in years. Going into Week 8, Conroe (3-1) and The Woodlands (3-2) are currently third and fourth place in District 15-6A. With the next opponent for both teams being Klein Collins (4-1), the winner of Friday’s game at Woodforest Stadium will be in a position to greatly impact the top four spots in the district playoff race.

The Woodlands hasn’t lost to Conroe since 2007, but you could make the case that this year’s Tigers team is the favorite going into their showdown with the Highlanders. Conroe is one play away from being undefeated in the district and has one of the most explosive offenses in the city.

The key matchup will be Conroe’s passing game vs The Woodlands pass defense. Abb Acuff, Carter Doucet, and the rest of the Highlanders secondary will have their hands full with Marcus Thomas and Michael Phoenix, while Caleb Fox and The Woodlands front seven will look to contain the playmaking abilities of Conroe QB Christian Pack.

Friday’s game will be a Woodlands Online on-demand game brought to you by Memorial Hermann and Hal Watson Air Conditioning. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
