THE WOODLANDS, TX -- On Wednesday, October 23, approximately 100 golfers and volunteers gathered at The Woodlands Country Club in support of The Woodlands Christian Academy’s (TWCA) 8th annual Warrior Boosters Golf Tournament. The event, presented by title sponsor Waste Connections Inc., raised $55,000 through sponsorships, individual tickets and donations. Brent Tucker and Amy Torres, 2019 Booster President, served as tournament chairs.

Before teeing off on the picturesque Player Course, Julie Ambler, TWCA Head of School, offered a brief welcome and prayer. “Thank you for your support of Woodlands Christian and our mission to equip future leaders — spiritually, academically, physically and socially,” she said. “Your generosity allows us to continue adding depth to the opportunities provided to our incredible students.”

Throughout the course were opportunities for participants to win amazing prizes. Included among them was a 2020 Bentley Bentayga V8, generously donated by Post Oak Motor Cars, and awarded to the first golfer to make a hole-in-one.

After announcing Shane Heise, John Hunter, Justin Kaplan and Scott Loving as the 2019 tournament champions, Mrs. Torres addressed the crowd, saying, “on behalf of the Warrior Boosters, thank you to the generous businesses and individuals who donated toward this amazing day! We are blessed to assist the TWCA staff and faculty in growing the stellar programs and activities offered to Warrior athletes and artists.”
