THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Looking for a way to help area families this holiday season? Stop by Milstead Automotive or Milstead Collision and drop off any canned food items for the Montgomery County Food Bank Holiday Food Drive.

Milstead Automotive and Milstead Collision will be taking canned food items from Nov. 1 to Dec. 9 for Montgomery County Food Bank

Donations boxes will be throughout the community from Nov. 1 to Dec. 9. Items that the Food Bank are in need of include oatmeal, canned soups and chilis, peanut butter and jelly, canned meats, rice and beans, canned pasta and baby food.

'We want to give back all year round but especially during the holidays,' Milstead Automotive President Amy Milstead said. 'The Montgomery County Food Bank is doing some really great things in our community for families and the elderly.'
The Food Bank is inviting the whole community to participate in the Holiday Food Drive. With the rising growth of the county, the Food Bank serves 25,000 people monthly and provides 10 million meals annually.

“The Holiday Food Drive is a wonderful community-building event that supports the mission of the Montgomery County Food Bank to unite the community to fight hunger,' Allison Hulett, Montgomery County Food Bank President and CEO, said. 'The holiday season can be difficult for so many families, especially those in a crisis situation. This food will provide them with their most basic needs as they navigate through their difficult time. We encourage the entire county to join our efforts to support the families, children and seniors who struggle with hunger and help make their holidays brighter.”
