Milstead Automotive to host a public art show fundraiser to benefit Ford Elementary School
THE WOODLANDS, TX – Milstead Automotive has always been a community leader in The Woodlands area, and its latest venture is one that will adorn the walls of adoring art lovers. The company – which is enjoying its 52nd year in business – is hosting a public art show that features the artwork of students at Ford Elementary School.
The art show will be held at Milstead Collision, 1602 Rayford Road in Spring, on Saturday, February 25, from 1 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. The event is a combination judged art competition and fundraising art sale. All proceeds will benefit the students at Ford Elementary
“These students have worked hard on their art pieces and we want to raise a little money to help the school,” said Cathy Bruce, marketing director for Milstead.
Each piece created by the students will be on display at the center, and everyone will have an opportunity to bid through silent auction on the piece they want to display at their home or office. Additionally, the students will be on hand to share about their pieces and the creation processes behind them.
“We will serve refreshments throughout the day, so come and go as you please, or stay and watch the children experience a day just about them,” said Bruce. “There will also be prizes for the students based on the judges’ decisions. We would love to have you join us.”
