MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- 3/16/2020 6:45pm: RUMOR CONTROL
Case # 1 - MCPHD can confirm the first positive case, who is in his 40s from Northwest Montgomery County, is still hospitalized. He remains in critical condition tonight. As a result of our investigation, we do believe he contracted the virus as a result of community spread.
Case # 3 - MCPHD can happily confirm the third positive case, who is also in his 40s from Northwest Montgomery County, has been released from the hospital. He is recovering well.
Update on CDC Confirmations: The CDC will no longer provide confirmations on presumptive positive cases. Cases that test positive in local labs will now be considered confirmed upon a positive result.
