Montgomery County COVID-19 Update for August 11, 2020

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX – Montgomery County Public Health District, in conjunction with the Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, can very sadly confirm four additional deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the total to 94.

· A man in his 50s, from Spring, died upon arrival to the hospital. He had co-morbidities in addition to testing positive for COVID-19.
· A man in his 80s, from Magnolia, died. He had co-morbidities in addition to testing positive for COVID-19.
· A man in his 80s, from Conroe, died in hospice care. He had co-morbidities in addition to testing positive for COVID-19.
· A man in his 90s, from Conroe, died in the hospital. He had co-morbidities in addition to testing positive for COVID-19.

We offer our condolences to all of the families at this difficult time.

· TOTAL cases of COVID-19 increased by 122 to 6,776 since yesterday’s report.
· ACTIVE cases of COVID-19 decreased by 445 to 1,355 since yesterday’s report. On Tuesdays, we factor in additional cases we have been unable to contact for more than 30 days. That represents 437 additional “inactive” cases today.
· 47 residents are known to be in the hospital, as a result of contact investigations. Contact investigations have not been initiated on all reported cases.
· 4,718 people have clinically recovered.
