Montgomery County COVID-19 Update for October 2, 2020

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX – Montgomery County Public Health District, in conjunction with the Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, can confirm the following update related to COVID-19.
• TOTAL cases of COVID-19 increased by 86 to 11,307 since yesterday’s (10/1) report.
• We have continued to process cases that were reported to The Department of State Health Services (DSHS) directly by healthcare providers and entered into the National Electronic Disease Surveillance System (NEDSS). Out of the 86 new cases today, 37 were tested prior to 9/17.
• ACTIVE cases of COVID-19 increased by 4 to 1,575 since yesterday’s (10/1) report.
• 17 residents are known to be in the hospital, as a result of contact investigations. Contact investigations have not been initiated on all reported cases.
• 7,603 people have clinically recovered. *These numbers include PCR and rapid antigen testing. We do not include antibody testing. Have questions?
