MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX – Montgomery County Public Health District, in conjunction with the Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, can sadly confirm an additional death related to COVID-19.

A woman in her 60s, from Porter, died in the hospital. She had co-morbidities in addition to testing positive for COVID-19.

We can also confirm:

· TOTAL cases of COVID-19 decreased by 7 to 14,224 since yesterday’s (11/3) report. Although we were notified of an additional 71 positive COVID-19 cases, we had to subtract 78 additional cases from weeks ago that were transferred to other health departments. This ensures cases are only counted in one county. We obtain information that leads to a transfer during contact investigations which can take some time to complete. Therefore, an adjustment in the numbers is needed. It’s also important to note, all cases transferred to other health departments are deleted from the graph (in addition to the overall numbers).

· ACTIVE cases of COVID-19 decreased by 67 to 2,050 since yesterday’s (11/3) report.

· 34 residents are known, as a result of contact investigations, to be in the hospital. Contact investigations have not been initiated on all reported cases.

· 9,160 people have clinically recovered.

*These numbers include PCR and rapid antigen testing. We do not include antibody testing. Have questions? Please go to https://mcphd-tx.org/ and scroll down to the FAQs.
