THE WOODLANDS, TX - The Woodlands Township has launched a new website and reservation system for Riva Row and Lakes Edge Boat Houses, as well as introducing dedicated social media platforms for the boat houses.

Residents and visitors can now secure their watercraft online by selecting their boats of choice, at the desired time and location, along with making payments and signing waivers before their outing. To reserve your watercraft, please visit www.rivarowboathouse.com and follow the booking prompts. Please note, walk-up renters are always welcome. A certain percentage of the fleet will always be kept available for walk-up visitors to ensure spontaneous outing needs are met.

Eight watercraft types are available for rent at Riva Row including single and tandem kayaks, single and tandem pedal kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, elliptical paddleboards, water bikes and the ever-popular swan pedal boats. Three water craft options are currently available at Lakes Edge including single and tandem kayaks and stand-up paddleboards, with water bikes expected at Lakes Edge later this year.

Recent visitors to Texas TreeVentures or The Ice Rink at The Woodlands Town Center will be immediately familiar with the layout of the new boat house website and the reservation process, as all three sites utilize the same user-friendly format powered by FareHarbor. Please note, as with most other online portals, there will be a small convenience fee for online bookings. No such fees are charged at the boat house windows to walk-up customers.

The Township also recently launched two new social media platforms for the boat houses including Riva Row Boat House’s own Facebook page, www.facebook.com/rivarowboathouse, and Instagram, www.instagram.com/rivarowboathouse. Followers will be able to see all the fun activities and events at the boat houses, learn about Lake Woodlands and The Woodlands Waterway, and connect to their favorite outdoor adventures

The boat houses are still taking precautions to keep staff and customers safe. Visitors must wear a mask during the check-in and boarding process (though you are free to remove it while on the water) as well as participating in mandatory temperature screening at both locations. Both requirements apply to all boat house visitors (and staff) over the age of 10.
