The Woodlands Fire Department Warns of Fire Risk after Windy Conditions Threaten Two Homes

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- This morning The Woodlands Fire Department responded to the 200 Block of Sandpebble Drive for a reported outside fire threatening two homes. Engine 108 was first on scene and reported that a privacy fence was on fire extending to adjacent home. Firefighters were able to quickly the fire under control. One home suffered some minor damage to an exterior wall and door while the house next door was not damaged. Fire cause determined to be accidental, embers had escaped from a fire pit. Dry and windy conditions exacerbated by the dead foliage from the freeze are making our area ripe for vegetation fires. Please be careful.
