IRONMAN Texas Returns to The Woodlands October 9 - Tentative Date

THE WOODLANDS, TX — Our wonderful community will welcome superior athletes from around the world yet again for IRONMAN Texas, October 9, 2021. Though the race has had to reschedule in the past due to COVID threat levels in Harris County, it has seemingly been approved.

Come and Take It
Everything is bigger in the Lone Star State. Whether it be the epic belt buckle medals or the athlete's aspirations that take on this storied IRONMAN race. For over 10 years, IRONMAN Texas has called those with the Texan-spirit at heart. Those willing to fight for what they want. Those willing to come and take the IRONMAN finish line for themselves. Athletes will take on a 2.4-mile, point-to-point swim, a PR pace 112-mile ride on closed toll roads and experience one of the most spirited 26.2 mile runs in North America.

The 2021 IRONMAN Texas will offer qualifying slots to the 2021 IRONMAN World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawai’i.

The race is broken into three parts:

• Swim - 2.4 Miles / 1 Lap: The rolling start, point to point swim begins at North Shore Park and ends in the canal at Town Green Park.

• Bike - 112 Miles Out & Back / 2 Loops: Athletes will start their 112 mile journey by navigating part of The Woodlands, then enter into Northern Harris County. Once in Harris County, athletes will navigate two loops on the Hardy Toll Road. Do not worry about the tolls; we have you covered! The majority of the course is closed totraffic and should make for a fast, flat course due to the minimal elevation.

• Run - 26.2 Miles / 3 Loops: The run course takes place entirely within The Woodlands and concludes with a spectacular finish on Waterway Ave.
