CISD Announces Teachers of the Year at Salute to Education

THE WOODLANDS, TX — “We have an exciting night to celebrate,” said Dr. Curtis Null, Superintendent of Conroe ISD at the district’s virtual Salute to Education, May 4.

The event honored and recognized educators and staff for their dedication throughout this trying year; Rising Stars and Humanitarians of the Year, as well as Friends of Education and Teachers of the Year from each campus. Dr. Null also announced the district-wide Teachers of the Year, one for Secondary school and one for Elementary.

The winners were:

2021 Secondary Teacher of the Year
Eden Young
Caney Creek High School

2021 Elementary Teacher of the Year
Theresa Stewart
Runyan Elementary

“Celebrate teachers each and every day,' said Dr. Null. “They deserve it, but especially this week. Let us all find a way to show the teachers and everyone in our school buildings, how much we appreciate the work that they do.”
