Preserve The Woodlands PAC Releases Video Highlighting Risks of Incorporation
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Preserve The Woodlands PAC today released a video highlighting how rushing to incorporate as a city would forever damage the quality of life for residents and businesses in The Woodlands.
The Woodlands is not just another city. Let’s not make it one
“Everyone in The Woodlands knows it’s a special place to live, work, and raise a family: low taxes, limited government, and a safe community,” the video says. “We are the envy of the Lone Star State. Unfortunately, an effort to incorporate The Woodlands could change all that.”
The Woodlands Township Board of Directors voted August 13 to place incorporation on the November 2 ballot, despite pledges not to do so during an off-year election and requests from residents, community groups, and the Chamber of Commerce who requested more time to understand incorporation’s massive impact on taxes and quality of life.
Put simply, there is no reason to rush to incorporate, and every reason not to.
Misguided efforts to turn The Woodlands Township into just another city would permanently damage the successful formula that has made our hometown not only the best place in Texas to live, work, worship, and raise a family but also the best place to live in the entire United States.
