THE WOODLANDS, TX — “What I've noticed is not only in the military, but in the first responders community, that when you reach out your hand to help one of them, they almost always grab your hand with only one of theirs, because they're using their other hand to reach behind them and pull up somebody else with them.”

Patriot Day of Remembrance
A ceremony held at The Woodlands Fire Department honored the brave men and women who tragically lost their lives during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Fallen first responders were honored to commemorate 20 years since the attacks.

First Responders Day in The Woodlands
The Woodlands Township invited the community to remember and thank first responders. The free community-wide event took place at Town Green Park, and featured live music, food vendors and more. Free Chick-fil-A was given out to the first 100 First Responders to show their badge or ID at the event.

Support First Responders:

Help one of our local first responders
“Recently, during one of his shifts at work, Paramedic Max Garner began experiencing severe medical symptoms, and had to be rushed to the hospital on the very same ambulance that he was working on at the time.
Tragically, after a long period of tests and anxious waiting, doctors diagnosed Max with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia … Your help will assist Max’s family with their basic needs while he is unable to provide income for his family. It will also help with expenses related to his diagnosis, which will include bills for inpatient chemotherapy treatment at MD Anderson Cancer Hospital, medications that will require him to wear a backpack for constant medicinal application, up to 20 months of maintenance medication and transport to and from his home.”
