Society of Samaritans Hosting a Free Community Event on November 6th in Magnolia

MAGNOLIA, TEXAS -- Society of Samaritans will host a FREE COMMUNITY EVENT on Saturday, November 6, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at the campus of West Montgomery County Community Center at 31355 Friendship Drive here in Magnolia. All events are FREE!!!

The campus-wide -free event with 30 booths and activities provides comprehensive resources for families in our community. There is something of interest, education, and fun for all ages.

Outdoors will be…. face painting, balloon animals, a bouncy house, games, and hot dogs prepared by the Precinct 5 Constables’ Office. The Magnolia Police Department will demonstrate drone skills. Children get ‘hands on’ with a Magnolia Fire Department fire truck. The Fire Department will provide free smoke detectors and fireman hats for kiddoes. A Water Rescue Vehicle will be on site from Commissioner Charlie Riley’s fleet.

Fingerprint ID cards will be completed on children and given to parents by Precinct 5 Constables’ Officers.

Interfaith Community Clinic offers free health screenings and flu shots at no cost. Lions Club of Magnolia shares info on student eye assistance program and will be providing eye exams at no cost. Tomball Pregnancy Center offers support for pregnancy related issues and reproductive health education.

Meet with COMMUNITY RESOURCE AGENCIES including YES to Youth MCYS, Tri-County Behavioral Healthcare, Tomball Pregnancy Center, ESL Classes, Affordable Housing agencies, Benevolence ministries from a coalition of Magnolia churches, ACA healthcare plans, Texas Social Services benefits, SNAP, Medicaid, CHIP, and Pregnancy Medicaid . More resource agencies will be joining us.

A Free Food Fair filled with baskets of fruits and vegetables provided by Montgomery County Food Bank will be given away along with nutrition news. Kids Meals will have snack lunches for all the kiddos. Personal hygiene bags are provided for adults and children by the Tri County Health Alliance.

Prayer partners will meet you at the Prayer Station and pray with you about your heart’s concerns.
