Spring, TX -- As the regular season ends the post season begins and all four of The Woodlands area schools are in the bi-district playoffs. The Grand Oaks lady Grizzlies traveled to spring to face the Lady Lions in their first game after the regular season. The Woodlands Lady Highlanders also headed south to face Houston Nimitz at Nimitz High School. And finally, district champions, the College Park Cavaliers faced Aldine Davis on the road.

Grand Oaks def. Spring - (25-8, 25-9, 25-17)
In their first round of playoffs, Grand Oaks Lady Grizzlies swept the Spring High School Lady Lions on the road. Starting the match, the Lady Grizzlies played slow as to test the capabilities of the Lady Lions and once they established their skill set turned on the after burners. Holding spring to single digits in the first and second sets, Grand oaks went into the 3rd with confidence.

''I'm pleased with the first few sets, you know, energy could have been better,' said head coach Morgan Rogers about her girl's performance. She continued, 'we came out, played our game and made sure we took care of our side.'

The third set was a different story, as Spring woke up, they forced some small errors on Grand Oaks as their momentum increased. This affected Grand Oaks which made them dig deep to get a third set win.

When asked how to tighten up that last set, Coach Morgan Rogers said, “Our energy and focus you know, just making sure that we don’t take every game for granted and making sure we’re coming out here with a purpose and playing with that purpose.”

Grand Oaks moves on to the next round to face Langham Creek or Klein.

College Park def. Aldine Davis - (25-9, 25-7, 25-8)
Aldine Davis hosted College Park for the 2021-2022 Bi-District round of the UIL State Playoffs. The district champions took home the win in a three-game sweep. They advance to face Bridgeland or Tomball later this week.

The Woodlands def. Nimitz (25-7, 25-6, 25-6)
Nimitz hosted The Woodlands at home for the volleyball Bi-District round hoping to take down the area power house. Unfortunately, The Woodlands dominated the match holding Nimitz to single digit scores. The Woodlands moves on to face Cypress Ranch or Klein Cain later this week.
