THE WOODLANDS, TX -- To celebrate 30 years of serving The Woodlands community and beyond, Christ Church United Methodist is launching a new look and a new message: Faith, Unfiltered. The new brand strives to meet individuals and families exactly where they’re at, because Christ Church is a genuine place for fellowship between real people, living real lives.

“We chose the phrase ‘faith, unfiltered’ for our new campaign because we want people to know that they can thrive within a faith community without having to filter themselves,” said Christ Church Communications Director Lynette Read. “At Christ Church, you can be the real you and experience a community where everyone is welcome.”

As part of the rebranding and anniversary celebration, the church invites members and those seeking a faith community to join Christ Church worship, programming and events. Just as they are in real life, in this campaign, life and faith are intertwined to show that no matter how picture perfect the world expects, at Christ Church, people will find faith, unfiltered — and a place where they don’t have to edit their true self to belong.

“Individuals and families can find a genuine place for fellowship at Christ Church,” said Senior Pastor Jeff Powers. “Life can throw us curveballs, like we saw during the pandemic. But faith gives us courage, and we are excited to welcome everyone back during our anniversary year. This milestone is an exciting time in our history, and we have many good things planned for the next chapter ahead.”

The rebranding campaign will help the church connect with individuals and families in a more personal way, including a refreshed website and new materials that reflect the church’s mission. It also helps welcome new members who seek a faith community where they can thrive just as they are.

“We bring together real people living real lives,” Pastor Jeff said. “Through Faith, Unfiltered, we want to acknowledge the challenges people sometimes face, but also affirm we have an active faith community that welcomes everyone to be their authentic selves.”
Christ Church United Methodist arrived in The Woodlands in 1991, and the first service was held at the current campus on Christmas Eve 1995. Since then, the campus has grown to include a daycare, preschool, school and columbarium.
Traditional worship service is held Sundays at 8:30 a.m., Sunday School Hour is available for all ages at 9:30 a.m., and blended worship begins at 11:00 a.m. on Sundays. More information is available at cc um.org.
