VARSITY TRACK & FIELD

3/10 at Dog Pound Invitational

Boys 9th • Girls 16th

Coach Scott Holland: Good day of competition at two locations. The bulk of the squad faced off versus UIL 5A & 6A Teams at the Dog Pound Invitational hosted by Magnolia High School. It is always fun to test ourselves at a high level. We had some great performances highlighted by Nico Signorelli’s school record in the Pole Vault.

Coach Scott Holland: Others we able to attend the Raevyn Rogers Invitational hosted by Kinkaid School. Again, an opportunity to get more athletes competing, allowing them to shine.

Coach Scott Holland: We will train as best as possible during Spring Break. We will host a Triangle Meet with Frasatti and Concordia on March 22 and a group will compete at the Victor Lopez Classic hosted by Rice University.

VARSITY SOFTBALL

3/9 vs. St. Francis Episcopal School • 10-0 W

Coach Nicole Hedden: Pitcher Bella Tamayo threw a complete-game shutout for a 10-0 Dragon victory.

Maggie Flinn collected four hits: a single in the first, a homer in the second and third, and a double in the fifth. For her two homers, Flinn went yard in the second with an in-the-park home run and in the third inning went over the fence.

Tamayo was on the rubber for Dragons, allowing only two hits and zero runs over the five innings, striking out 11 and walking zero.

Dragons totaled 12 hits: Flinn, Tamayo, Alexa Tonner, Ashlyn Kuntz, and Ella Howard each racked up multiple hits Dragons tore up the base paths, as three players stole at least two bases with Flinn leading the way with two.

3/10 vs Northland Christian • 18-2 W

Coach Nicole Hedden: It was a great week for Dragon softball! We are looking forward to playing next week at ESPN World Wide Sports in Florida.

Boys 9th (out of 11)

Girls 8th place (out of 9)

Coach Rod Gold: Darcy Wright shot an 86 on Day 1 and an 86 on Day 2 for a 2-day total of 172.
