THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The Woodlands Children’s Museum is brewing up double the fun this Halloween season by expanding its beloved, long-running tradition into an exciting new two-day celebration! Designed especially for little ghouls and goblins ages seven and under, this year’s "fa-BOO-lous" Halloween SpookTacular promises a friendly and non-spooky environment filled to the brim with entertainment, guided art projects, and playful festivities. New this year, an amazing bat cave comes alive with the sights and sounds of nocturnal life. Guests are invited to find friendly creatures hidden throughout the trees and bog.

For over 16 years, the museum has provided a whimsical alternative to trick-or-treating that keeps every drop of Halloween magic while leaving all the fright behind. Guests are encouraged to wear and share their favorite costumes throughout the event.

Families can explore carnival-style games including fan favorites like Ring-a-Pumpkin and Ghost Bowling.

Schedule of Events & Daily Highlights:

  • Friday, October 30 (9:30 AM – 4:00 PM): Visitors can enjoy making slime in the art lab and gather for SpookTacular Storytime readings at 11:00 AM, 12:00 PM, and 1:00 PM.

  • Saturday, October 31 (10:00 AM – 5:00 PM): Community volunteers will assist young artists as they unleash their imaginations to create Lacing Pumpkins and Monster Door Hangers to take home.

  • Both Days: Award-winning performer Monty the Magician takes the stage with spellbinding showtimes at 10:30 AM, 11:30 AM, 12:30 PM, 1:30 PM, and 2:30 PM.

“The museum truly comes alive during the holidays, and we’re excited to kick off the season with a special two-day Halloween celebration this year,” said Jennifer Kraus, the museum’s Interim Executive Director. “From our new bat cave and magic shows to art projects and festive games, there will be something for everyone to enjoy. We can’t wait to see all the creative costumes and celebrate a little Halloween magic with our museum families!”

The museum will be open exclusively for this special event. It’s a skel-e-ton of fun designed to spark delight and create lasting holiday memories for the entire family!

Advance tickets are recommended and are available online at https://woodlandschildrensmuseum.org/event-tickets/.
