Dr. Bhavna Reddy establishes Veda Health direct primary care practice

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Veda Health, a direct primary care practice, has recently opened in The Woodlands. The practice, established by Bhavna Reddy, MD, offers comprehensive, patient-centric care specializing in family medicine.

Veda offers quality, primary health care in a direct membership-based system approach with affordable monthly fee amounts based upon age categories. The advantages of this approach include unlimited visits, patient same-day availability, greater access to follow-up care, and an increased level of communication. A direct membership-based system eliminates insurance as the middleman while fostering the doctor-patient relationship.

Board-certified in Family Medicine, Dr. Reddy has a special interest in preventive healthcare and complementary medicine integrating Ayurveda – an Eastern medicine focused on natural healing through diet and lifestyle to promote health – along with traditional Western medicine.

Veda Health provides care to patients of all ages, including pediatric, well-woman, and geriatric care. Dr. Bhavna Reddy is a board-certified member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. She grew up in East Texas and attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX, for her undergraduate degree. She attended St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies (Caribbean), with clinical rotations in New York City. Dr. Reddy returned to Texas for her Family Medicine residency at Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital.

Prior to opening a private practice, Reddy served as a primary care physician at Memorial Hermann Imperial Oaks within the traditional healthcare system for eight years. She has privileges at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center and Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital.

In her free time, Dr. Reddy enjoys exploring new restaurants, traveling, photography, and spending time with her family and friends … especially her dog, Jax.
