HOUSTON, TX -- Qualified Lone Star College students may be eligible to get up to $1,000 to pay for summer classes thanks to a new financial program.

“We understand that in today’s economy money is tight,” said Shannon Venezia, Ph.D., LSC Senior Associate Vice Chancellor Financial Aid. “That’s why we are excited to offer qualified students the opportunity to advance their studies at no cost.”

There are many advantages to taking LSC summer classes. Students can catch up or get ahead on their credit hours. They will also enjoy smaller class sizes and more one-on-one time with professors.

“The aid is not a loan and does not have to be paid back,” said Venezia. “And thanks to Lone Star College’s low tuition, that leaves money left over to buy books and other supplies needed.”

Registration for summer classes is underway with classes beginning June 6. Visit LoneStar.edu/SummerTuition to learn more and see if you qualify.

Lone Star College enrolls over 80,000 students each semester providing high-quality, low-cost academic transfer and career training education.
