Margaritaville Lake Resort, Lake Conroe | Houston Announces “Singer/Songwriter” Series with Thom Shepherd

CONROE, TX -- Margaritaville Lake Resort, Lake Conroe | Houston has announced that Country Music Association (CMA) of Texas Songwriter of the Year, Thom Shepherd, will perform as part of the resort’s “Singer/Songwriter” Series at Boathouse Bar & Lounge.

His performance dates include:
Thursday, May 19 – Shepherd will perform alongside his wife, Coley McCabe, an American country music singer. In 2000, she signed with RCA Records in Nashville and released two singles. One of these songs, “Grow Young with You,” was included in the soundtrack of the 2000 movie “Where the Heart Is,” starring Natalie Portman.

Friday, June 3 – Brendan Mayer, son of acclaimed singer/songwriter and member of Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reef Band, Peter Mayer, will join Thom Shepherd at Margaritaville Lake Resort the night before the Jimmy Buffett concert in The Woodlands. A long-time resident of Nashville, Mayer was the lead singer of the buzz band, The Turf, sharing the stage with successful acts such as American Bang and Jeff the Brotherhood. Mayer also was a featured artist on Jimmy Buffett’s 2014 summer tour.

Shepherd is also slated to perform at Margaritaville Lake Resort on:

• Thursday, Sept. 1 (pre-Labor Day weekend)
