TOMBALL, TX -- Lone Star College - Tomball Community Library has released their schedule of events for July 2022.

Children’s programs

Toddler Time
Tuesdays, July 5, 12, 19, 26 @ 10:30 am
Join other toddlers and parents/caregivers for weekly story time fun! Toddler Time uses age-appropriate stories, songs and finger plays to engage toddlers and their parents/caregivers. This story time is geared towards toddlers ages 18 months through 3 years. Tickets are required and will be handed out at the Children's Desk starting 30 minutes prior. Participating children must have a ticket to attend Toddler Time. For more information, call the library at 832-559-4235.

Fishing Foundation
Monday, July 11 @ 3:00 pm
Join us for Fishing Foundation and learn more about fresh water fishing in Texas! Kids will learn the basics of fresh water fishing in Texas, then complete a series of related crafts and activities! This program is for kids with any level of fishing experience. Required registration begins online one week in advance and is for kids ages 5-12. Stories from the Seven Seas, Part 2
Tuesday, July 12 @ 3:00 pm
Learn about legends, mysteries, myths, monsters, and more from the world’s oceans, then complete a related craft! This program is for kids ages 7-12. LEGO WeDo 2.0

Texas Snakes & More
Monday, July 18 @ 3:00 pm
Learn more about snakes and other animals native to Texas! Live animals will be present at this program. This is a family program and tickets are required for all participants. Recycled Crafts

Little Learners STEM Studio

K-9 Quinn: Dog at Work

Learn more about a special kind of working dog: the K-9 officer! At this program, special guest K-9 Officer Quinn will showcase his sniffing skills and his handler will teach kids all about K-9 officers! R.E.A.D.

Troop Care Package Drive
All month long
Donations for deployed soldiers will be accepted at the library’s first floor elevators and delivered to Boots for Troops at the end of the month. We accept dry snacks, toiletries, books, letters of encouragement, and more! Please see our Donation Station box for more information.

Virtual: Healthy Bites, Healthy Moves with EFNEP
Thursdays @1:00PM June 16th- July 28th
Presented virtually by the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP). Register to receive enrollment information for this fun and free 7-week course that discusses nutrition, meal planning and preparation, and other healthy living topics. The Tomball Conference Room will be reserved weekly for viewing the program in a class setting and picking up giveaways and materials which support the weekly lessons, or you can tune in from home!
