Angel Reach Receives “Ultimate Gift” from Young Men’s Service League Magnolia
MAGNOLIA, TX -- Angel Reach was selected as the recipient of this year’s Ultimate Gift from the Young Men’s Service League (YMSL) Magnolia, a special hands-on philanthropic project bringing mothers and high school-aged sons together to serve the local community.
During the project, YMSL moms and young men worked side by side to build three raised garden beds, refresh a shared outdoor space with new furniture and planters, and tidy landscaping across 16 duplexes. The improvements created a welcoming, functional space designed to foster connection and community among Angel Reach residents.
The impact of the project was immediate, with Angel Reach staff and residents already envisioning future gatherings in the newly refreshed space, including plans for a girls’ tea party.
“We are incredibly grateful for the hard work and heart that the YMSL moms and young men brought to this project,” said a representative from Angel Reach. “The transformation of this space will be enjoyed by our residents for years to come and reflects the true spirit of community partnership.”
The participating volunteers are members of the Magnolia Chapter of the national organization, Young Men’s Service League (YMSL). The chapter is made up of mothers and their sons in grades 9–12 who volunteer together throughout the community, dedicating their time and energy to meaningful service projects.
This project was selected as the chapter’s Ultimate Gift, YMSL’s annual multi-day philanthropic initiative focused on making a significant, lasting impact for one partner organization. The goal of the Ultimate Gift is to complete a project that may otherwise be difficult for a nonprofit to accomplish due to limited resources or manpower.
“This project perfectly represents what the Ultimate Gift is all about - working together, serving with purpose, and creating something meaningful for our community,” said a representative from YMSL Magnolia.
Young Men’s Service League is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that brings mothers and their teenage sons together in service during the four years of high school. With nearly 200 chapters across 22 states, YMSL represents more than 32,000 moms and young men and has contributed over 2 million community service hours nationwide. In addition to service, YMSL provides leadership and life-skills programming to help develop capable, confident, and compassionate young men.
