Police Chase Ends With Arrest Of Two Suspects And The Recovery Of A Stolen Vehicle

SPRING, TX -- On September 4, 2022, deputies with Constable Mark Herman's Office responded to the 23000 block of Northgate Crossing Boulevard in reference to a stolen vehicle that was being tracked by GPS. Upon arriving to the location, deputies observed the stolen vehicle and initiated a traffic stop.

The driver refused to stop and led deputies on a pursuit that ended after the vehicle came to a stop and the suspects fled on foot.

Deputies quickly established a perimeter and a Constable K9 captured the suspects. They were detained and identified as Jose Alvarez and Francisco Magana.

'They were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail. Jose Alvarez was charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Evading Arrest in Motor Vehicle. His total bond was set at $20,000.00 out of the 339th District Court. Francisco Magana was charged with Criminal Trespass. His bond was set at $100.00 out of County Court 11.' - Constable Mark Herman
