THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The Grand Oaks Grizzlies competed against the Caney Creek Panthers Friday night at Woodforest Bank Stadium. The Grizzlies would win the game 38-28.

The stage was set for an exciting night of Friday football as two run heavy offenses duked it out. Everyone dreams of perfect game free from errors but that isn’t the case ever – certainly not from this one. Both teams acquired a multitude of flags, and if I had to guess someone was greasing the balls as well. Reason being both teams fumbled during key drives.

The Grizzlies would be missing their star running back #3 Brandon High, but that didn’t matter because Mala'kai Williams would carry for two touchdowns and other running backs like Ange Sepulveda would find themselves in the in zone as well. The Grizzlies Ty Rupe made some great catches, but none was better than his one-handed catch for a touchdown. Christian Nunley – the QB – was a spectacle to watch as he rushed in for a TD and passed for a touchdown. I’d say WR Triston Brause was the unspoken hero of the offense. He had multiple catches that set the Grizzlies up to score.

For Caney Creek, they would score off two fumbles from the Grizzles. The first came from a kickoff and another from a dropped snap on the 20-yard line. The Panthers #4 Jaiden Graves would score off a 44- yard pass from Christian Aguilar and rush in for a TD.
