THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce’s C.A.R.E.S. Committee – formerly the chamber’s Communications Relations Team – has teamed up with Family Promise of Montgomery County for a Stock the Pantry Donation Drive.

Between now through February 28, items can be delivered to The Chamber offices at 9320 Lakeside Blvd., Suite 200, in The Woodlands. Donations will be released to Family Promise on March 1.

Items being sought for donation include juice boxes, toiletries, packaged foods, laundry pods, and baby needs; every donation is expected to contain new, unused, and be within expiration date warnings.

The C.A.R.E.S. Committee embraces and promotes the value of teamwork, community service and stewardship. The team completes monthly community service projects or donation drives to serve nonprofit Chamber members. This team is responsible for producing the annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon in April during National Volunteer Appreciation Week. Members of the committee include Team Leader Corinne Coulter, Co-Team Leader Roxanne Davis of The Woodlands Family YMCA, and The Chambers’ Cyndi Alvarado.

Family Promise of Montgomery County’s mission is to serve homeless families with children by uniting faith communities in a cooperative effort to provide shelter, meals, transportation, and compassionate assistance leading to independence. Led by Executive Director Marilyn Kasmiersky, the organization’s goal is to alleviate homelessness for families with children in Montgomery County, Texas. We believe strong families build strong communities and our goal is to strengthen families and enable them to become self-sufficient and stable.
