THE WOODLANDS, TX – We’re currently in that sweet spot between the freezing temps of winter and the sweltering heat of summer, and not quite at the wetness of spring. This weekend, the only remarkable thing about the weather is how unremarkable it will be.

The weather is waffling through the fugue state between winter and spring

The sun is already peeking out through the clouds as we finish off our lunch hours today. We’re hovering around our high of 58 for another couple of hours, then the gusting winds, cloud coverage, and temperature will all drop a bit. If you want to get out for a grownup date but are stuck with the kiddos, think about heading to Maximum Athletics, which is hosting an extended open gym until late tonight where you can drop off the little loved ones for a bit. Rising humidity and a high pressure system will get the mercury steadily dropping until we hit the mid 30s early tomorrow morning.

Saturday will be a day of partly cloudy skies and winds gusting around 12 mph to make for a relatively pleasant day of outdoorsy weather. Right around the time we hit our high of 52 around 4 o’clock in the afternoon, the pressure will start a slow drop and the winds will dwindle down to practically nothing. During the evening, the clouds too will go away, and if you’re a night owl you’ll enjoy counting the stars as our low gets to just above freezing. Sounds like it’s perfect weather to grab a blanket and hit Market Street’s Central Park for the outdoors Candelight Concert featuring the Divist Strings.

On Sunday, the clouds will creep back in. Multiple ingredients – including rising dew point, dropping pressure, and a wavering humidity – will work together to give us a pleasant day with a high of 66 under partly cloudy skies. If you’ve had enough outdoors fun this weekend, head over to Dosey Doe - The Big Barn to catch the rock/blues/pop/funk music as brought by Marc Broussard. As the dew point continues to rise and the humidity surges, you’ll hit the sack Sunday evening to increasingly cloudy skies that’ll help raise the overnight low into the mid 40s, and set the stage for a wetter work week…
